Meet the Author — Tomika Stubbs

The Woman Behind Simply Sunshine 

Hello, beautiful souls!

I'm Tomika Stubbs, the heart and creator behind Simply Sunshine Studios.

Simply Sunshine was born during a season of my life when I felt lost, hurt, and disconnected from the woman I knew I was meant to be.

I had spent so much time loving, believing, hoping, and seeing the potential in someone else that I had forgotten to give myself that same love, patience, and understanding.

My healing didn't happen overnight. It came through tears, difficult truths, quiet moments, honest conversations with myself, and countless prayers to God and my ancestors for wisdom, clarity, and direction.

Along the way, I learned that healing isn't always about receiving the apology, explanation, or closure we believe we deserve. Sometimes, healing begins when we accept what we've been shown, rediscover our worth, and give ourselves permission to move forward.

Every reflection in my book comes from a place I've personally visited. Every question represents a conversation I once had while searching for understanding, peace, and the courage to trust myself again.

I created Simply Sunshine because I know there are other women who have loved deeply, questioned themselves, lost their way, and wondered how to find their light again.

I want those women to know that their stories aren't over.

You can begin again. You can create new boundaries. You can forgive without forgetting the lessons. You can love others while choosing yourself.

And most importantly, you can become the woman you were always meant to be.

My journey taught me that sometimes the very experience that brings us to our knees becomes the beginning of our greatest transformation.

This is my sunshine season. And I hope Simply Sunshine helps you discover yours.
